Compensation: $65,000 per year Antioch University seeks an Associate Director of Marketing Services to play a central role in the ongoing engagement of our marketing and external communications (Marcom) unit with our portfolio of internal clients. Under the direction of the Executive Director of University Marketing & Communications, the Associate Director of Marketing Services serves as a primary point of contact for our academic and partnership units.
The Associate Director of Marketing Services is responsible for managing a team of Account Managers who act as primary points of contact for internal clients with the Marketing & Communications (Marcom) team. Additionally, the Associate Director may manage a small portfolio of internal clients. Marketing Services reports on marketing and communications plans, projects, and Marcom outcomes, and coordinates governance of client involvement in a broad variety of marketing initiatives. Essential Job Functions: Serve as a primary point of contact for the Marcom department with internal clients across AU

  • Attend meetings with Deans and/or Program Directors; participate in Marcom team project meetings
  • Communicate project statuses and results related to school marketing plan activities
  • Gather program information, stories, testimonials, video, and social media content as available for communications use
  • Answer Marcom-related questions; support review of additional project requests from schools

Team Management & Leadership
  • Manage and develop a team of Marketing Account Managers, who serve as primary points of contact for the Marcom team with assigned academic depts
  • Develop and establish processes, procedures, and training to support team development and to ensure consistent experiences for internal clients
  • Serve on the Marketing & Communications leadership team, participating in the development and realization of the overall vision and strategy of the Marcom team
  • Lead project management within the Marcom team in collaboration with the Executive Director of University Marketing & Communications and the Marketing Project Assistant
Education and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree required and minimum of 3 years\xe2\x80\x99 experience in an account/client management role in a marketing focused environment
  • Experience in higher education marketing is preferred
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Suite
Knowledge and Skills:
  • Manage internal constituents and their expectations, support the Marcom team\'s implementation of university-wide strategies
  • Understand fundamentals of modern digital marketing practices, including content strategy, communications, advertising, automation, and social media
  • Leadership skills to motivate team members and manage conflicts
  • Excellent analytical, business process development and problem-solving skills
  • Experience in establishing business goals and strategies
  • Outstanding written, verbal, and presentation communication skills
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Demonstrated ability to:
    • Creatively troubleshoot and work independently
    • Manage and coordinate simultaneous projects while managing tight deadlines
    • Communicate effectively with non-technical personnel and be able to establish and maintain collaborative relationships with technical and non-technical staff
  • Ability to create and deliver compelling, informative presentations to diverse audiences
  • Ability to learn new technologies quickly and proficiently
  • Ability to remain calm under stressful circumstances and/or aggressive deadlines
Physical Requirements This is an active position, involving walking, climbing, lifting, stooping, and bending in the accomplishment of duties. Must be able to lift in excess of 25 pounds.
