Role:



The Associate Director of Annual Giving is an impactful member of St. Pius X School's Advancement team. Annual giving accounts for more than $1 million each year, making up a crucial percentage of the school's operating budget. The Associate Director will collaborate with and support the Vice President of Institutional Advancement to achieve Annual Fund targets through proactive and comprehensive cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship of parents, alumni/ae, employees, and friends. Managing a portfolio of 40-50 donors capable of giving up to $5,000 on average, the Associate Director will apply best practices and moves management strategies to build relationships and grow giving. They will utilize Raiser's Edge NXT and Veracross databases to make data-driven decisions and will oversee the creation, distribution, and follow-up of print and electronic appeals and Annual Fund communications.

Responsibilities:



Manage a portfolio of 40-50 donors, focused on soliciting annual gifts in the $1,000-$5,000 range through personal communication and face-to-face meetings. Take a lead role in planning and executing St. Pius X School's Annual Fund, including Giving Tuesday and Spring Giving Days campaigns, employee giving campaign, and alumni giving. In collaboration with the VP of Institutional Advancement and the Director of Marketing, oversee creation, distribution, and follow-up of print and electronic appeal(s) and stewardship communications. Play a key role in the planning and execution of the school's gala, held every other year. Manage and grow recurring giving, reunion giving, matching gift opportunities, and renewals and reacquisitions of previous donors. Conduct regular donor management activities such as thank-you calls and cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship visits. Support Advancement operations, including database management, online giving forms, and data synthesis. Support Advancement events, including some evenings and weekends. Participate in professional development and regular training on database and related platforms. Actively support and collaborate with teammates to achieve goals. Provide occasional support in other areas of school life as needed.

Physical Requirements:



Must be able to work in a school environment with constant noise and interruption. Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer Ability to use standard office equipment (e.g., computer, telephone, printer, copier) Occasional standing, walking, and reaching as needed to perform office tasks Ability to lift and carry up to 20 pounds (such as event materials, boxes of brochures, or supplies) Adequate vision and hearing to read documents, use computer technology, conduct meetings, and communicate clearly in person and by phone/video Ability to travel locally and occasionally regionally for donor visits and events Ability to work occasional evenings and weekends for donor events or campaign activities Ability to speak clearly and professionally in group settings and public presentations Ability to move event materials, signage, and equipment for fundraising activities Ability to stand for extended periods during events or donor activities Comfort navigating campus or event venues

Qualifications:



A bachelor's degree, or equivalent experience, and 2-3 years of experience on a fundraising team Excellent oral and written communication skills Experience with a fundraising CRM, preferably Raiser's Edge NXTand/or Veracross Strong organizational, critical-thinking, problem-solving skills, and exceptional attention to detail Ability to manage concurrent projects, adapt, and prioritize A high level of professionalism, flexibility, diplomacy, and responsiveness working with a range of constituencies A high degree of computer literacy, including proficiency using Google Workspace and learning new technology

Pay: From $62,000.00 per year
