The Applied Signal Technology (AST) seeks an Associate Director for Advanced Technologies to lead and consult on various captures and programs, provide systems engineering on new and existing capabilities, and develop and propose new concepts and solutions to customers.

They will work closely with our customers, senior stakeholders, program managers, and cross discipline technical staff to thoroughly understand customer goals and then to direct and help develop solutions. They may also oversee or lead Research and Development projects that extend into advanced technology exploration. Typical work includes systems engineering functions such as concept development and engineering design, extensive interaction with customers, leading teams of engineers and large design efforts, presenting formal presentations in front of large groups, conducting detailed reviews, handling multiple projects and tasks simultaneously, innovating and providing strategic direction, and making critical decisions while under pressure.

Program management experience is necessary to provide oversight on various programs and direct and assist program managers. Proposal and capture experience is also necessary, including the full process for competitive proposals, as they will be expected to oversee captures and proposals.

They must be a self-starter, have excellent written and verbal communication skills, and work effectively and collaboratively in a team environment. They must have a excellent work ethic and be flexible and adaptable in order to respond to customer and mission critical needs as they arise. They must also feel comfortable representing the company in various situations, sometimes being the sole representation. Some travel will be required for this position.

Primary Responsibilities:

Must have a minimum 12+ years combined in the intelligence or defense industry as a systems engineer / program manager, and experience in direct customer interaction.

Breadth of engineering experience and expertise

Experience participating in captures and developing and working proposals.

Demonstrated knowledge of program management processes for execution of complex programs

Consult on new business and technical initiatives, including the generation of white papers, Rough Order Magnitude estimates (ROMs), and Gate Review packages.

Understand customer objectives and concepts, extending those concepts into a workable software/firmware/hardware architecture/design as customer goals become clearer and as new objectives emerge.

Ensure satisfaction of customer technical goals within cost and schedule constraints

Experienced professional in creating and maintain relationships, both internal to the company and external

Excellent experience managing people, who is also adept at the soft skills required for management; leader will be preferred to recruit, mentor and retain staff.

Must have an Active TS/SCI Day 1

Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date.

U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Security Clearance

Must have or be capable of obtaining a US Department of Defense (DoD) security clearance. Candidate selected will be subject to a government security investigation/reinstatement and must meet eligibility requirements.

Preferred Qualifications:

12+ years as lead for multiple SIGNAL PROCESSING Applications/products/programs

12+ years combined in the intelligence or defense industry, as lead technical engineer, or experience in direct customer technical interaction, preferably government customers.

Typically Requires: Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 12 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 10 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 16 years of relevant experience.

Practical knowledge of SIGINT customer Concept of Operations (ConOps) and experience in support of deployed products/systems

Understanding of telecommunications and data communications system concepts and/or digital signal processing (DSP)

Excellent understanding of broadband communications including network operations, transport structures and switching equipment; or deep understanding of a related area and the demonstrated ability to come up to speed quickly.

Experience managing classified TS/SCI programs.

Program Manager certified, including Earned Value Management (EVM) certifications or training.

The salary range for this role is $139,000.00 to $277,000.00, however, Raytheon Technologies considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate\xe2\x80\x99s work experience, education/training, and key skills.
