Why does the job exist?



The Associate Data Analyst will:



Be responsible for supporting the Behavioral Health Services Division (BHSD) data needs with regards to state and federal reporting, performance measures, and data analysis;



Work in partnership with other divisions within the Health Care Authority (HCA) and partner agencies to support behavioral health initiatives.



How does it get done?



The Associate Data Analyst is responsible for:



Data collection and reporting for federal block grants;



Supporting program staff with monthly and quarterly reporting;



Reporting of quarterly BHSD performance measures;



Conducting quality reviews of Medicaid Managed Care Organizations (MCO) contractual reports;



Developing and preparing ad-hoc reports as requested.

Minimum Qualification



High School diploma or equivalent and six (6) months of experience directly related to the position in research, statistics, computer science, data analysis, accounting, auditing, finance, economics, business, public administration, budgeting, management, and/or systems analysis or related professional certification as determined by the hiring agency. Any combination of education from an accredited college or university in a related field and/or direct experience in this occupation totaling six (6) months may substitute for the required experience.

Employment Requirements



Must possess and maintain a valid Driver's License.

Working Conditions



Office setting, exposure to Visual/Video Display terminal (VDT) and extensive personal computer and telephone usage with extended periods of sitting.
