As an Associate Computer Engineer, you will research, test, analyze, and recommend computer hardware components for Hunter's alignment and inspection products.
What You'll Do:

  • Research, test, analyze, and recommend embedded computer components for existing product support and new product design.
  • Research, test, and analyze hardware drivers, firmware, and BIOS updates for use in existing and future products.
  • Develop and validate computer hardware component requirements.
  • Collaborate with component vendors on new or alternate components, updates and revisions to device elements and field service issues
  • Provide product manufacturing build support for component and system assembly activities
  • Record and track computer hardware components for engineering research and quality testing usage.
  • Assist with Windows IoT LTSC installation and HDD image creation
  • Testing of complete embedded PC systems used in Hunter's alignment and inspection products
  • Provide clear communication of technical information to vendors and internal partners.
  • Create and review engineering change notices, variance, and product release documents.
  • Additional duties as assigned.
What You'll Bring:
  • An associate degree or trade school degree with 3-5 years of PC Technician experience required; bachelor's degree in computer engineering or electrical engineering preferred
  • Hands-on experience with and knowledge of computer hardware and peripherals
  • Knowledge and understanding of computer firmware (BIOS and UEFI) and device drivers.
  • Windows desktop installation, configuration, deployment, and troubleshooting experience.
  • Familiarity with relational databases (MSSQL and Azure) and SQL queries is preferred.
  • Familiarity with source code management tools like TFS or Git is preferred.
  • Bash or PowerShell scripting experience is preferred.
  • Experience working on large hardware & software projects within a team-based environment
  • Good technical writing and oral communication skills.
