Duration: 5-6 months

Description :
The Global Corporate Affairs (GCA) team is in search of an Associate Communications Manager, Corporate Responsibility, to join our Americas team to help execute on the Corporate Responsibility (CR) communications strategy for CLIENTs largest operating region and partner closely with the Americas CR team on program support.

As part of our Journey to Tomorrow plan, CLIENT has set ambitious targets to reduce its greenhouse gas emissions by 46% across both its managed and franchised hotels and to positively impact the lives of 30 million people in the communities where we operate.
The person in this role will be responsible for helping develop and execute an integrated communications strategy, in close partnership with the CR and Hotel Operations teams, to support the achievement of these goals and CLIENTs ongoing Sustainability, Renewable Energy, Decarbonization, and Community Impact initiatives. In addition, this person will lead on CR content development, including executive talking points, hotel-support materials, and assets needed to drive awareness and understanding internally and externally of CLIENTs contributions to our planet, people and communities.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Specifically, the Associate Communications Manager, Corporate Responsibility will:
Work closely with Communications Manager, Corporate Responsibility; Head of Hotel, Owner & CR Communications; and Head of CR, Americas, to develop and execute on a strategic communications plan focused on both short-term and long-term CR goals with a specific focus on decarbonization and community impact
Work closely with Americas GCA and Americas Hotel Operations teams to develop impactful and directional communications that support effective execution at hotels across CLIENTs largest operating region
Manage multiple CR communications and project requests in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
Work closely with our hotel teams, hotel partners and third-party CR vendors to develop and execute communications to segmented stakeholder and audience groups
Develop collaborative stakeholder relationships across the business, which will be a key factor in timeliness and speed-to-market on deliverables
Partner with CLIENTs CR Commercial Integration and Brand teams to support hotels and colleagues in telling our CR story and engaging our guests in Journey to Tomorrow
Source and develop compelling stories for internal and external campaigns, various reports, and executive updates
Must possess excellent time and project management, attention to detail and organizational skills
Strong customer-focus orientation

Education
Bachelors degree in Communications, Journalism, English, or similar relevant field of work, or an equivalent combination of education and work-related experience

Experience
5-7 years of experience developing innovative, measurable communications strategies for corporations, government, campaigns, PR agencies or non-profits

The ideal candidate must have experience writing for CR programs/initiatives and familiarity with CLIENTs work and impact in the CR space.
They must be a self-starter with strong writing and project management skills and be comfortable in a proactive environment, where taking the initiative to identify opportunities to provide support is the norm.

Critical Skills & Knowledge
Excellent writer with a flexible, conversational tone that can synthesize complex information into digestible, relatable content
Strong executive presence and experience doing executive communications
Excellent project management, organizational skills and attention to detail
Proven ability to be a team player and build effective relationships
Strategic thinker who can work collaboratively with the CR team and other CLIENT colleagues to maximize the value of the companys CR efforts
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; sound judgment and strong collaborative decision-making skills combined
Commitment to exemplifying the highest standards of integrity and professional excellence
Understanding of a franchised business model, operations and/or the hospitality industry preferred but not required
Experience providing communications support on CR topics, specifically: climate change, renewable energy, green building, energy efficiency, and community impact
