Job Description

The Gagnon Law, LLC firm is a small-town law practice just north of the KC metro, currently handling probate, estate planning, business law, and real estate matters, as well as providing prosecution services for area municipalities.

This position will offer opportunities to build our existing practice areas or develop new ones within the successful applicant's interest and skills, with support from the Law Firm. Job duties include managing cases across a variety of practice areas and attending court frequently, including prosecuting municipal ordinance violations at night courts 1-2 times per month. This position includes significant freedom to shape areas of practice and work schedule.

An entrepreneurial spirit would be an asset for this position, and the right candidate will be an independent worker and have the ability to effectively manage their own calendar. This job includes direct and constant client contact so effective communication is important. The successful applicant will be expected to participate in local civic organizations and assist with business development.

Compensation will include a base salary, a fee split once certain revenue targets are met, and discretionary bonuses. Benefits include PTO, paid bar dues and professional development, life insurance, and short term and long term disability coverage.
