The Role

Hawkins Parnell & Young LLP is seeking two Georgia-licensed litigation attorneys (3-8 years' experience) for its Atlanta office. These roles offer the opportunity to handle diverse, high-exposure matters--including professional liability and human trafficking defense--alongside some of the region's top defense litigators. Successful candidates will manage active caseloads, contribute to litigation strategy, and gain early, meaningful client contact within a supportive and fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

Manage litigated files from pre-suit through resolution. Conduct research and draft pleadings, motions, and mediation briefs. Take and defend depositions of parties, experts, and corporate representatives. Prepare and argue motions; appear at hearings, mediations, and arbitrations. Analyze discovery, summarize records, and recommend defense strategies. Participate in client meetings and provide proactive communication. Collaborate with partners and colleagues on complex litigation strategy.

Qualifications

JD from an accredited law school; active Georgia Bar license in good standing. 3-8 years of civil or insurance defense experience. Strong analytical, research, and persuasive writing skills. Excellent communication and client service mindset. Self-starter with initiative, organization, and sound judgment. Experience in professional liability, human trafficking defense, or coverage litigation preferred.

Pay: $140,000.00 - $180,000.00 per year
