Position Overview:
We are seeking a thoughtful and motivated Associate Attorney to join our team. This role is ideal for a newly licensed attorney who is eager to gain hands-on experience across multiple practice areas and grow in a supportive, collaborative environment. The Associate Attorney will work closely with our lead attorney and legal support staff to assist in case management, client communication, and document review across all of our practice areas. This position offers the opportunity to gain practical legal experience while supporting clients with care and professionalism.
Key Responsibilities:
Support the lead attorney in managing immigration, family law, and estate planning cases.
Review, draft, and revise legal documents, forms, and correspondence.
Collaborate with and help oversee support staff to ensure smooth case progress and timely filings.
Maintain organized client files, calendars, and case notes.
Communicate with clients to provide updates, gather information, and ensure they feel supported throughout their cases.
Participate in hearings, client meetings, and filings as appropriate.
Handle the intake process for new and prospective clients.
Contribute to a respectful, inclusive, and client-focused work culture.
Qualifications:
J.D. degree and admission (or pending admission) to the Massachusetts Bar.
Prior experience in a law firm, legal, or professional office environment preferred.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple matters efficiently.
Professional, empathetic, and team-oriented approach.
Interest in immigration, family law, and estate planning.
Bilingual in English and Spanish or Portuguese (preferred but not required).
