Description of Work
We seek highly motivated candidates versed in the discipline of architecture, with a record of combining structural integration in the design studio with a design research agenda in structures. The successful candidate will teach at least one undergraduate core lecture in structural mechanics and/or optimization in addition to architecture design studio courses that integrate and apply structures within practice.
The Architecture Program pursues an innovative design research curriculum in which faculty interests, evolving pedagogies, and engagement combine in a creative environment that balances experimentation and innovation with professional and environmental responsibility. The College of Architecture promotes cross-disciplinary collaboration while maintaining a commitment to academic accreditation, student performance, and service to the future of its constituent professions in Architecture, Landscape Architecture, Interior Design, Community & Regional Planning, and various minors. Our NAAB accredited Architecture Program consists of a Bachelor of Science in Design followed by a 2-year M.Arch degree. The program also offers a 3-year M.Arch degree.
