Job Description

Nestled beside a 400-acre protected forest, our campus offers a rich environment for young children to learn through connection with the natural world. Our preschool program emphasizes nurturing relationships, outdoor learning, and the development of foundational skills in a joyful, play-based setting.

Neighborhood Schoolhouse is hiring for a dual position of office manager/assistant teacher. The ideal candidate for this position will be organized, flexible, love children and the great outdoors!

RESPONSIBILITIES: OFFICE ASSISTANT



Answers phone and relay messages to the Director Manages calendar of Director and assists in scheduling tours and meetings Tracks faculty absences and usage of PTO Distributes registration packets to parents, receives and documents completed forms, and distributes necessary forms to complete registration Assists in maintaining up to date student and faculty files, Gmail groups, and parent lists. Distributes mail Scan and send faculty documents to BFIS File documents in their proper place Order supplies as necessary and when specific materials are requested by faculty and manage Amazon Subscribe and Save Maintain cleanliness and organization of office Fills in for lunch break coverage, nap-time support, and aftercare if administrative duties allow Maintains first aid kits. Maintains health records. Reports building and ground concerns to Director Maintain schedule of cleaners Other duties as assigned by the Director

RESPONSIBILITIES: ASSISTANT TEACHER



Attend all school events Learn the routines of the classroom and take initiative to assist based on knowledge of the schedule and student needs. Ask classroom teacher what needs to be done if you do not know. Be receptive to direction and feedback from Lead Teacher Support students' development across all developmental domains (cognitive, social/emotional, physical, communication) View every student, colleague, and school family member with unconditional positive regard. Assist in facilitating a respectful, nature-based environment that encourages curiosity, belonging, mastery, generosity, and independence. Adhere to all policies and regulations in both state licensing and the Faculty Handbook. Maintain current credentials and engage in professional development as required Additional duties as assigned by the Director.
Pay: From $37,440.00 per year
