We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Assistant Teacher to join Winters Wonderland Early Childcare team. The Assistant Teacher supports the Lead Teacher in providing a safe, nurturing, and developmentally appropriate environment for infants and toddlers. This role includes helping with daily routines, engaging children in activities that promote growth, and maintaining a positive, caring atmosphere for children and families.
Key ResponsibilitiesChild Care & Supervision
Assist in supervising infants and toddlers at all times to ensure safety and well-being.
Support feeding, diapering, potty training, and other care routines according to health and safety guidelines.
Maintain a warm, responsive, and respectful relationship with each child.
Encourage developmental milestones through play, conversation, and hands-on activities.
Learning & Development
Help implement daily lesson plans and age-appropriate activities created by the Lead Teacher.
Participate in activities that support cognitive, social-emotional, physical, and language development.
Provide individualized attention to children at varying developmental stages.
Environment & Safety
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe classroom environment.
Sanitize toys, equipment, and surfaces according to licensing requirements.
Follow all health, safety, and emergency procedures.
Family & Communication
Greet families warmly and maintain positive, professional communication.
Share daily updates such as feeding, diapering, naps, and developmental progress (as directed by Lead Teacher).
Team Collaboration
Work cooperatively with the Lead Teacher and other staff.
Attend required meetings, trainings, and professional development sessions.
Demonstrate reliability, flexibility, and willingness to assist where needed.
Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED required.
Experience working with infants or toddlers in a childcare setting preferred.
CPR & First Aid certification (or willing to obtain).
Ability to lift 30+ lbs and engage in active floor play.
Knowledge of early childhood development is a plus.
Personal Qualities

Pay: $22.44 - $27.02 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
