As an Assistant Teacher, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the early educational journey of our children. Your mission is to not only impart knowledge but also help instill a deep love for learning.

Schedule, 830-5:30 M-F is the current need, but possibly flexible in the future for a different shift.

Responsibilities



Maintain documentation, reporting and record keeping Implement an Emergent Curriculum Support children's emotional, physical, or behavioral well-being; while helping to develop their social, emotional, cognitive and physical skills. Maintain attendance and health and safety checks. Responsible for the care, hygiene, learning, developmental activities, and redirection of children Maintains classroom organization Engage with current and prospective parents and family members and is responsive to their needs. Support children through transitions in and out of the classrooms Meet all classroom ratios as outlined in state regulations Participate and interact in team meetings and workshops Keep management informed of any necessary information regarding the care and safety of the children Assist and accept responsibility in other daily center duties that might be temporary if other personnel are.

Specifications



Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate at all levels with children, parents and co-workers. Ability to utilize computer systems for all documentation, reporting, and classroom operations Strong collaborator and team player Ability to take initiative in and out of the classroom Strong problem-solving skills

Compensation

Qualifications



High School Diploma or GED minimum requirement Experience with young children (1 year minimum) CDA, Associate's Degree, or Bachelor's Degree in ECE preferred, but not required Clear criminal and child abuse background checks Up to date Health Assessment / TB test. Ability to push, pull and lift up- to 45 pounds
