Job Title: Assistant Teacher

As an Assistant Teacher, you will play a vital role in fostering a nurturing and stimulating environment for young learners. You'll work closely with lead teachers to implement engaging lesson plans and support the educational development of children. Your enthusiasm and dedication will help shape the minds of the next generation while ensuring each child feels valued and supported.

What you'll do

Collaborate with lead teachers to develop and implement lesson plans that promote literacy, math, and overall childhood development. Assist in managing classroom activities, ensuring a safe and positive learning environment. Support children with special needs, including those on the autism spectrum, by implementing tailored strategies for their growth. Facilitate small group instruction to enhance learning experiences in literacy and math. Engage with children during playtime, encouraging social interaction and cooperative play. Maintain effective communication with parents regarding their child's progress and classroom activities. Participate in curriculum development to align with educational standards and best practices. Help manage behavior in the classroom through positive reinforcement techniques.

Basic qualifications

Experience working with children in educational or childcare settings. Strong communication skills to effectively interact with students, parents, and staff.

Preferred qualifications

Preschool experience is a plus. Knowledge of behavior management strategies and special education practices.

MUST

You must be able to pass a level 2 background screening. You must pass a pre-employment drug screening.
