Job Summary

As an Assistant Teacher, you will assist Lead Teachers in creating an educationally enriching and stimulating environment designed to foster self-esteem and a positive self-image, social interaction, self-expression and communication skills, creative expressions, and intellectual growth.

About Us

Googols of Learning Child Development Center is a full-time childcare facility serving up to 122 children, ages 1 to 6. We are dedicated to promoting the physical, social, emotional, and cognitive growth of each child through high-quality, developmentally appropriate experiences. As a PBS program site implementing Anti-Bias Education, we emphasize Positive Behavioral Support strategies to help children develop essential social and emotional skills for kindergarten and beyond. Our team of committed educators works collaboratively to create an inclusive, engaging, and enriching learning environment.

Duties & Responsibilities

Assist the teacher in preparing materials for lessons. Support the teacher during lesson plan implementation. Provide a positive, supportive environment where children can learn and practice appropriate individual and group behaviors. Maintain a safe and clean environment that is conducive to learning. Communicate with children in a firm, loving, and consistent manner appropriate for their age.

Qualifications & Requirements

Experience in a licensed childcare center. Knowledge of child development theory and best practices in early childhood education. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage with children, families, and colleagues. Strong teamwork and collaboration skills to promote a positive learning environment. Ability to self-motivate and take initiative in the classroom. Time-management skills.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $10.00 - $13.00 per hour
