Assistant Teacher


We are looking for a compassionate and energetic Assistant Teacher to support classroom learning and development in our Dodgeville classroom. The ideal candidate will work closely with fellow teachers to provide a nurturing, educational environment that promotes children's growth across cognitive, social-emotional, and motor skills. The starting wage is $17.06/hour and this individual will work Monday-Thursday 6:45AM-3:45PM.

Key Responsibilities:


Assist in implementing developmentally appropriate lesson plans in various skill areas.

Help coordinate classroom activities and arrange room setup for safety and learning.

Support the lead teacher in documenting lesson plans, observations, assessments, and other reports.

Conduct child assessments to individualize learning and monitor progress.

Use positive behavior guidance techniques and help children develop social problem-solving skills.

Engage parents in classroom activities, making them feel welcome and involved.

Supervise and support children during meals, rest, toileting, and daily activities.

Ensure the safety of all children with active supervision throughout the day.

Help maintain a clean, sanitized, and organized classroom.

What you'll need to become an Assistant Teacher...


Prior childcare experience or education

A valid driver's license and access to an insured vehicle

High school diploma or equivalent

Preferred but not required...


Bilingual- English & Spanish- $1/hour incentive given to employees who are proficient in Spanish if the classroom presents a need.

CDA credential- must enroll in a CDA program within 30 days of hire if not already obtained (we will guide you through this)

CPR with AED knowledge & First Aid certification for children and adults

Commercial Driver's License- we offer a $1/hour incentive for employees who obtain their CDL to help transport our students.
