Retail Assistant Manager
who supports the Owners, Store Manager & Management team with daily operations, focusing on team leadership, customer service, and store execution. This family run market provides its employees with a family atmosphere while providing many benefits of a corporate run establishment.
Key duties include staff training, inventory control, merchandising, driving sales, handling customer issues, and ensuring policy compliance. As well as being responsible for ensuring quality and freshness of perishable and non-perishable products while providing excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership & Staff Management:
Train, motivate, provide feedback to 30 to 36 Full & Part time sales associates, as well as ensure team adherence to company policies
Perform other duties as assigned by Store Owners and Store Manager
Operations:
Manage opening/closing duties, handle cash, and ensure smooth daily business flow
Oversee the cleaning and maintenance of the store work areas
Assist Store Manager with monitoring expenses, control waste and optimizing cost effectiveness
Customer Service:
Deliver excellent service, resolve complaints, and build customer rapport
Inventory & Merchandising:
Oversee stock levels, manage deliveries, restock shelves, and maintain appealing store displays
Adherence to inventory control measures to minimize and ensure freshness
Assist Store Manager with vendors & suppliers to maintain high quality products.
Store Standards:
Ensure the store is clean, organized, safe, and visually appealing, enforcing health and safety rules
Schedule:
Candidates must have open ability to consistently work afternoon hours and shifts on Saturday and Sundays

Requirements:
Significant retail experience, including previous supervisory roles for a minimum for 3 years
High school diploma or equivalent
Physical Ability-: Must be able to lift 50lbs., standing, bending, lifting, working in various temperature-controlled environments; walking on a variety of flooring such as concrete, tile, carpet etc., must be able to go up and down stairs multiple times a day
Pay: From $58,000.00 per year
