Pay Range: $53,000-$63,000 + profit sharing

Reports to: Store Manager

Position Overview



The Assistant Store Manager supports the Store Manager in the daily operations and overall performance of Pomegranate Market. This leadership role helps foster a positive and welcoming store culture, ensures operational excellence, and guides team members to deliver outstanding service. The Assistant Store Manager acts as a hands-on leader on the sales floor and is the acting manager in the Store Manager's absence.

Key Responsibilities



Leadership & Team Development

?- Support the Store Manager in leading, coaching, and inspiring team members.

?- Promote high morale amongst employees and an exceptional culture.

?- Assist with staffing, scheduling, and onboarding to ensure strong service and

operational efficiency.

?- Provide ongoing training, feedback, and accountability for department leads and

team members.



Customer Experience

? - Foster a warm and helpful shopping experience rooted in hospitality and care. - Actively engage with guests and address questions or concerns with

professionalism.

? -Ensure store cleanliness, merchandising standards, and a safe shopping

environment.



Operational Excellence

? - Oversee day-to-day store functions, coordinating with department leads for smooth operations.

? - Monitor store performance metrics including sales, labor, and shrink,

recommending improvements as needed.

?- Assist with inventory management, product ordering, and vendor communication.

?- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and food handling regulations.



Financial & Administrative Support

?- Support the Store Manager in meeting budgetary goals and controlling expenses.

?- Assist with scheduling, payroll monitoring, and labor management.

?- Help track inventory, invoices, and department-level reporting.


What We're Looking For

? 2+ years of retail or grocery leadership experience, natural foods preferred.

? Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate and support teams.

? Understanding of grocery retail operations and customer service best practices.

? Highly organized, detail-oriented, and dependable.

? Flexible schedule including mornings, evenings, and weekends as needed.
