Job Summary


We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Assistant Store Manager to support the daily operations of our retail store. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in enhancing customer satisfaction, driving sales, and ensuring the store runs smoothly. This position requires strong leadership skills, a passion for retail, and the ability to work collaboratively with the store manager and team members.

Duties



Assist in managing day-to-day store operations, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction through excellent service. Supervise and train staff, fostering a positive work environment and promoting teamwork. Oversee inventory management, including ordering, stocking, and maintaining accurate inventory records. Handle cash management duties including cash handling, cashier supervision, and daily reconciliation. Support recruitment efforts by participating in interviewing and employee orientation processes. Implement marketing strategies to drive sales and enhance store visibility. Maintain merchandising standards to ensure an appealing shopping experience for customers. Manage scheduling and shift management to optimize staff coverage during peak hours. Utilize retail math for pricing strategies, budgeting, and sales analysis. Address customer inquiries and resolve issues promptly to maintain high customer service standards.

Skills



Strong negotiation skills to effectively manage vendor relationships and pricing strategies. Proficient in employee orientation, recruiting, interviewing, and training & development processes. Bilingual or multilingual abilities are a plus for enhancing customer interactions. Experience in payroll processing, bookkeeping, inventory control, and cash handling. Proven management experience with a focus on team management and leadership in a retail environment. Familiarity with POS systems and retail sales techniques is essential. Excellent communication skills with strong organizational abilities for efficient task management. Knowledge of merchandising principles, stocking procedures, and marketing strategies relevant to retail operations. Ability to manage time effectively while balancing multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
