The Assistant Store Manager is responsible for supporting the Store Manager in staffing, sales, and operations in a Scooters Coffee location. This role builds and leads a friendly, service-oriented barista team, supports a high-energy work pace, drives sales, increases profit, and demonstrates an engaged management style. The Assistant Store Manager exemplifies Scooters Coffee core values.


Essential Duties & Responsibilities


Ensure consistent and quality customer experience through execution of brand beverage recipes and techniques, and fostering the Scooters Amazing customer service experience
Maintain store appearance, cleanliness, visual merchandising standards, food safety standards, and equipment
Support Store Manager in interviewing, training, and developing staff to demonstrate all company standards in customer experience and operations
Support ongoing performance feedback and development for staff members, in partnership with the Store Manager
Maintain accountability in employees using progressive discipline process; partner with Store Manager
Contribute to store profitability by seeking opportunities to increase sales and by managing expenses
Maintain company standards in personal and store sales/performance metrics
Encourage and support full team participation in setting store goals
Ensure all cash handling, point of sale system, safety, and operational procedures are performed in an accurate, consistent manner
Maintain awareness of daily, weekly, and quarterly financial reports
Maintain accountability for store operations including but limited to ordering, scheduling and inventory counts.

Ability to work in a fast paced environment and handle multiple duties
Ability to raise, lower and carry objects up to 50 pounds occasionally throughout a day
Ability to stand in an upright position without walking more than three consecutive steps occasionally
Ability to walk more than three consecutive steps for extended periods of time
Ability to hear, see and speak within a loud environment
Ability to stoop and climb occasionally throughout a day
Ability to work with hands on one- and two-handed activities constantly throughout a day
Regular and predictable attendance
