We are now looking for an Assistant Manager at one of our flagship stores, in Mercer Street, New York. Although we are open to a supervisor or keyholder looking for their next step!
To play a key role in assisting the Store Manager in driving the performance of the store. You will assist the Store Manager in leading, motivating and developing the store team, setting high standards of store presentation and service levels. In the absence of the Store Manager, you will take on responsibility for the running of the store.
Business Focus
Assist the Store Manager to achieve the store target
Ensure a high level of sales and service is practiced by all sales associates, leading by example at all times by meeting personal sales goal.
Continue to develop personal sales techniques and assist in the development of associates' sales techniques to maximize sales
Take ownership of store related projects, designed to drive business, as required.
Customer Service
Ensure that the store team delivers exceptional customer service to our customers
Build and maintain repeat clientele by utilising personal client book and assisting staff with utilising their client books
Promote all initiatives in regards to clienteling and use of Store Portal with sales associates
Help to resolve all customer service issues as required
Make recommendations to your store manager in order to grow market share, improve customer experience and drive growth
Operations
Assist the store manager in managing all operational practices of the store, and ensuring all policies and procedures are followed
Ensure the store is kept to the highest possible visual standards, being well organised and properly merchandised at all times
Manage loss prevention/stock control measures across the store to ensure shrinkage is within company guidelines in order to protect company property and assets
People
Assist the Store Manager in coaching and motivating a strong team of sales associates, ensure all processes for onboarding of new personnel are followed
Hold daily briefings to motivate teams and update on store performance
Assist in the management of employee performance through effective goal/target setting and monitoring through regular 1-1s and constructive feedback
Assist the Store Manager in the monitoring of team product knowledge and help train the team as required using company guidelines and training initiatives
Assist with payroll and HR administration as required, making sure it is completed accurately and on time
Ensure adherence by team to all Company policies and procedures
