As part of the leadership team, the Assistant Store Manager (ASM) supports the Store Manager in ensuring daily operations run seamlessly, the brand experience remains consistent, and compliance standards are met. This role bridges leadership, operations, and customer experience--playing a key part in shaping how Sweetleaves is perceived by our guests, partners, and regulators alike.

Key Responsibilities

Ensure full compliance with Minnesota OCM and Sweetleaves operational standards, maintaining accurate documentation, security, and inspection readiness at all times. Deliver an exceptional customer experience by setting service standards, training staff on hospitality best practices, and handling guest concerns with professionalism and care. Lead and develop the team through ongoing training, coaching, and regular 1:1 check-ins, fostering a culture of accountability, growth, and teamwork. Oversee inventory and sales management, including intake, tracking, nightly audits, and discrepancy reporting, ensuring full accuracy across POS and METRC systems. Support daily store operations--scheduling, merchandising, task management, and promotional execution--while maintaining brand presentation and a clean, organized environment. Act as a key leader on the floor, modeling company values and ensuring the team consistently meets performance and compliance goals.

Qualifications

2+ years of retail leadership or assistant management experience (hospitality, boutique, or cannabis preferred). Strong understanding of compliance, attention to detail, and operational follow-through. Proven leadership and communication skills with a focus on team development. Tech-savvy; comfortable with POS and inventory systems (METRC experience a plus). Reliable, professional, and comfortable working evenings, weekends, and holidays. Must be 21 years of age or older and meet all state employment requirements.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.00 - $27.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35 - 40 per week
