About the Role:




The Assistant Store Manager plays a critical role in supporting the Store Manager to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the retail store. This position is responsible for driving sales performance, maintaining high standards of customer service, and managing daily store activities to meet company goals. The Assistant Store Manager will lead and motivate the store team, oversee inventory management, and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures. They act as a key point of contact for both employees and customers, resolving issues promptly and fostering a positive shopping environment. Ultimately, this role contributes significantly to the store's profitability and reputation by balancing operational excellence with exceptional customer experiences.

Minimum Qualifications:



High school diploma or equivalent. Previous retail experience, preferably in a supervisory or leadership role. Basic knowledge of retail operations, including sales, inventory management, and customer service. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.

Preferred Qualifications:



Experience with point-of-sale (POS) systems and retail management software. Leadership training or certification.

Responsibilities:



Assist the Store Manager in overseeing daily store operations, including opening and closing procedures. Lead, train, and motivate store staff to achieve sales targets and deliver outstanding customer service. Manage inventory levels, conduct stock audits, and coordinate with suppliers to ensure product availability. Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and feedback professionally to maintain high customer satisfaction. Ensure compliance with health, safety, and company policies to create a safe and welcoming environment. Support visual merchandising efforts to maintain attractive and organized product displays. Prepare and analyze sales reports to identify trends and implement strategies for improvement. Assist in scheduling staff shifts and managing payroll records to optimize labor costs.
