This role requires reliable transportation, as the Assistant Property Manager will regularly drive to properties to conduct showings, inspections, and oversee on-site activities.
Responsibilities
Assist in the management of property leasing processes, including tenant screening, lease preparation, and move-in coordination.
Maintain accurate records through data entry and filing systems, ensuring all documentation is compliant with Fair Housing regulations and landlord-tenant law.
Provide exceptional customer service to tenants and prospective residents, addressing inquiries and resolving conflicts as they arise.
Drive to various properties to conduct showings, inspections, and support leasing and maintenance coordination.
Collaborate with maintenance teams to oversee property maintenance requests and ensure timely resolution of issues.
Utilize property management software (AppFolio) for tracking tenant interactions, payments, and maintenance requests.
Support the implementation of marketing strategies to enhance occupancy rates through upselling techniques.
Assist in the preparation and negotiation of contracts related to property leasing and vendor services.
Conduct regular inspections of properties to ensure compliance with safety standards and maintenance needs.
Foster positive relationships with tenants to promote community engagement and satisfaction.
Qualifications
Proven experience in property management or real estate administrative roles is preferred.
Familiarity with Low-Income Housing programs and Section 8 housing regulations is a plus.
Strong understanding of conflict management techniques and customer service principles.
Proficiency in using property management software (AppFolio).
Knowledge of Fair Housing regulations and landlord-tenant law is essential.
Excellent negotiation skills with a keen eye for detail in contract administration.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Exceptional phone etiquette and communication skills for effective interaction with tenants, vendors, and team members.
Previous experience in sales or facilities management is advantageous.
Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license are required.
