Position Overview



The Assistant Property Manager (Leasing Focus) plays a key role in ensuring high occupancy and positive resident experiences. This position supports the Property Manager in daily operations with a strong emphasis on leasing activities, marketing vacant units, and resident relations. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, personable, and thrives in a fast-paced environment.

Key ResponsibilitiesLeasing & Marketing



Respond promptly to all leasing inquiries and schedule property tours. Conduct property showings, present lease terms, and guide prospective tenants through the application process. Process rental applications, screen applicants, and prepare lease agreements. Track renewals and proactively manage lease expirations to reduce vacancy. Create and post online listings, update pricing, and monitor advertising performance across platforms. Maintain strong knowledge of market conditions and competitive properties.

Resident Relations & Communication



Assist residents with questions, service requests, and general inquiries. Support lease renewals, move-ins, and move-outs. Ensure excellent customer service and consistent communication to maintain resident satisfaction. Help enforce community policies and coordinate notices as needed.

Operational Support



Assist with rent collection and basic accounting functions such as posting payments and processing deposits. Help oversee maintenance coordination, ensuring work orders are completed promptly. Conduct property inspections and maintain accurate records in AppFolio. Support Property Manager in preparing reports, budgets, and other administrative tasks.

Qualifications



1-3 years of experience in property management, leasing, or customer service preferred. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and property management software (AppFolio experience a plus). Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required.

Compensation & Benefits

Pay: $37,000.00 - $42,000.00 per year
