We're looking for an experienced, energetic Assistant Property Manager to join our award-winning team at 700 Acqua Apartments in Newport News, VA -- a luxury community designed for modern living.

What You'll Do

As the Assistant Property Manager, you'll play a key role in keeping our community running smoothly and our residents happy. You'll:

Support leasing efforts by showing apartments, conducting tours, and creating a welcoming first impression for prospects. Assist with the screening and qualification process for new residents while ensuring compliance with company policies. Help manage day-to-day operations -- from rent collections and move-outs to vendor coordination and work order follow-ups. Partner closely with the Property Manager and Maintenance team to deliver a top-tier resident experience. Handle resident inquiries and resolve issues with professionalism and care. Lead by example, helping train and motivate on-site team members. Keep our community looking its best through daily inspections and attention to detail.

What We're Looking For

At least 3 years of multifamily property management experience. Strong communication and people skills -- you enjoy connecting with residents and team members alike. A knack for organization, multitasking, and problem-solving. Strong attention to detail with the ability to spot and correct errors before they become issues. Confidence to take initiative and make sound decisions. Familiarity with property management software (Yardi preferred). Basic accounting knowledge and an understanding of community budgeting. Weekend availability when needed.
