/Duties:



Assist project management in oversight on multiple projects either in role of a prime contractor or as a subcontractor Promote safety culture through practices, participation, image and awareness Analyze project specific technical information and provide direction to estimating and project management regarding interpretation of information for use in pricing, budgeting, purchasing, scheduling, project scope development, from project inception to completion Work with project managers and clients to develop and maintain project schedules which include all project activities (engineering deliverables, materials procure/fab/del, field construction activities, and outage requirements) Implement and maintain individual project document control Develop, maintain, and deliver individual project close out documentation packages Anticipate, identify, prevent and solve problems as necessary Promote customer, subcontractor, and vendor relations. Present courtesy, integrity, and fairness at all times especially while managing customer demands Assist project manager in creation of project monitor reports and maintain information (receivables, productivity, equipment log, p/o's, billings, costs, c/o's, commitments). Create comparisons of actual results versus budgeted. Understand and monitor scope of work, schedule, pricing details, assumptions, means and methods contemplated, and project risks. Assist project manager to prepare meeting minutes, daily reports, correspondence, material specifications, QA/QC, etc. Maintain up-to-date Change Order Logs (requested, outstanding and issued), RFI logs (open and closed), drawings (new and old revisions), schedule, and QA/QC documentation. Create and maintain project submittals including log and schedule update information Participate in preconstruction review and design-build activities Maintain files (both electronic and physical) of correspondence, bids, projects, etc.

Requirements/Technical Skills:



Proficient in computer skills requisite to position, spreadsheets, e-mail, word, project management software, scheduling Ability to interpret specifications, drawings, including one-lines/schematics Familiarity with critical path scheduling development and updates Effective verbal and written communication, organization and planning, and problem resolution skills Travel as required to project jobsites for meetings, audits, and inspections Demonstrate critical thinking, attention to detail, and strong meeting coordination and facilitation skills Collaborate with co-workers and peers and listen to criticism without exhibiting behavioral extremes. Maintain composure and objectivity under pressure Understand algebraic equations and apply fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations Periodic ability to travel several days overnight is required Required to work on jobsites during inclement weather. Though the company provides for and takes protective measures, the employee may be exposed to safety sensitive and hazardous situations during the course of performing their job responsibilities. Maintain a valid driver's license; acceptable motor vehicle record; acceptable drug screening; and acceptable criminal record report consistent with company policy. Willingness to relocate or travel for a specific project a positive. Proficiency with Primavera P6 scheduling software (preferred) Project Manager or Project Doc Control management software experience (preferred) Ability to interpret specifications and drawings (preferred) Technical writing capabilities utilized in preparation of work plans, subcontractor scope documents, and requests for information (preferred)

Experience:



Minimum 3 years' experience in construction project management experience and/or engineering experience preferred. Data center, commercial construction, or electrical contracting experience?(preferred)

Work Environment



This job operates on a construction job site in a jobsite trailer. The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. The noise in these work environments is usually moderate to very loud. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
