JOB DESCRIPTION

POSITION TITLE: ASSISTANT PROJECT MANAGER

REPORTS TO: Project Manager

LOCATION: Huntsville Main Office and/or Project Site Office

TRAVEL: Some Travel Required

COMPENSATION: Based on Experience

POSITION SUMMARY: Assist the Project Manager and field team by performing various duties

that require a knowledge of the construction industry's systems, procedures and daily tasks

required for successful completion of projects.

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES/ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

? Provide technical support to the project manager, assisting with the planning,

scheduling and execution of the electrical work.

? Gather and organize Daily Reports.

? Gather and organize Jobsite and Equipment Inspections.

? Plotting drawings.

? Daily use of Procore, Bluebeam, Dropbox and Raken.

? Submittal review (with Project Manager), submission and tracking.

? Management of submittal logs.

? Management and distribution of drawings and specifications along with updates.

? Material ordering and tracking.

? Tracking items to be billed for monthly reports.

? Ability to read blueprints.

? Estimate takeoffs on drawings.

? Must perform other related duties as assigned.

REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES:

? Good verbal and written communication skills.

? Ability to work under pressure.

? Ability to handle multiple interruptions and adjustments to priorities throughout the

day.

? Ability to efficiently and calmly handle situations and/or complaints that range from

routine to emergency.

? Excellent memory and organizational ability necessary to organize daily workload,

handle multiple responsibilities and meet deadlines.

? Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.

? Performs routine duties independently, using sound judgement, thoroughness, and

competence.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

? High School Diploma or GED required.

? At least five years previous experience as an Assistant Project Manager for an electrical

contractor preferred.

? Graduation from a four-year electrical apprenticeship program using the NCCER

curriculum.

? A basic knowledge of accounting is preferred.

? Excellent time management and organizational skills.

? Able to work independently as well as in a team environment.

? Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel and Word) required.

? Working knowledge of Procore and Dropbox preferred.

? OSHA 10 or above Safety Training preferred.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

? Performance of the required duties will require physical ability to climb permanent and

temporary stairs, passenger use of construction personnel hoists, ability to climb ladders

and negotiate work areas under construction.

? Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, depth

perception and the ability to adjust focus.

? Performing this job requires the use of hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or

controls, sit, talk and hear, stand, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.

Employee may occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds.

? While performing the duties of this job, the employee may regularly work in an office

setting. The noise in the work environment is usually quiet to moderate in an office

setting.

? While performing the duties of this job, the employee may work at construction work

site where the employee is exposed to moving mechanical parts, high precarious places,

fumes, or airborne particles, outside weather conditions, and risk of electrical shock.

The noise in the work environment is usually moderate to loud. The employee is

required to work in compliance with company safety policies, procedures, and

applicable laws.
