Tenure-track faculty in the Foundations and Social Advocacy Department contribute to the College's values of inclusive excellence through outstanding teaching, research and/or scholarship, service to the department and college, and by providing academic advisement and mentoring to/for all students.

THE DEPARTMENT: The Foundations and Social Advocacy Department offers degree programs in Inclusive Education (B.S.) and Teaching Students with Disabilities PK-12 (M.S. Ed.). The department also houses Cortland's Urban Recruitment of Educators program and the Educational Leadership Programs. The Department promotes a reflective, critical, interdisciplinary approach to understanding the multiple and shifting contexts and practices of education. Faculty and students advocate for social justice and equity in education through teacher preparation emphasizing inclusive education, foundations of education, and urban education.
