General Description
The successful candidate will have an opportunity to work with the faculty in developing a new BFA program in Theatre Management, teach, recruit, mentor undergraduate students, serve as the production manager for the department\xe2\x80\x99s performance season, and support the College\xe2\x80\x99s Arts Administration Minor. This position involves teaching two courses each semester in addition to receiving the equivalent of two courses in reassigned time for performing administrative or production duties.
Essential Job Duties
Design and teach courses in Stage Management, Production Management, and Theatre Management, Serve as Production Manager for Department of Theatre productions, Stage Manage one departmental show each year, Manage and coordinate all front of house tasks for Department of Theatre productions, Academic Advising for Theatre majors.
Additional Duties
Education and Experience
MFA in Stage Management or Production Management or Theatre Management or related field from an accredited college or university as recognized by the United States Department of Education.
University-level teaching experience (Graduate Assistantship experience included).
3-5 years of professional experience in field of stage management, production management, theatre management or related field.
Preferred Education and Experience
Fluency in Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat, and Google productivity software, Familiarity with standard theatrical software, Experience in mentor student towards professional theatre/entertainment career. experience in Arts Management, commitment to inclusive curriculum.
