Job Description

Alpharetta Methodist Preschool is seeking a part-time assistant teacher for our students ages 1 to 2 years old.

(Monday - Thursday from 8:30am-1:30pm)

EXAMPLES OF RESPONSIBILITIES:

Must be able to be at the school from 8:30am-1:30pm (Monday-Thursday) Responsible for the care of children in a loving, Christ centered, learning environment Help the lead teacher plan and implement age appropriate activities Establish and maintain an organized classroom Maintain good time management when following your daily schedule Communicate effectively with staff and parents Work as a team player with your lead teacher and other staff members Must be First-aid, CPR/AED, and LifeVac certified (training will be provided with employment) Complete 10 hours of Continuing Education online each year (provided with employment) Education & Experience in the early childhood field is preferred, but not required Attend Staff meetings or additional meetings/training as deemed necessary Abide by all policies and procedures outlined in the Preschool Staff Handbook. Must complete and pass a background check, drug screening, and child safety training

The position of a Preschool Teacher provides effective leadership in the classroom through her complete support of The Mission of Alpharetta Methodist Preschool: Excellence in education with a Christ-centered foundation, fostering a lifetime love for learning and creating leaders in Christ, which is thoroughly integrated into the ongoing activities of the classroom and clearly evident to all students, teachers, parents and the community at large.
