Job Description

Leap Ahead Preschool is a small, play-based early learning center in Boise. We are family-owned, and the owner/director is active daily in the preschool classroom, leading 16-20 children. This role supports the owner as the lead teacher and helps manage the classroom, curriculum, and day-to-day operations.

About the Role

Hands-on leadership and teaching in the preschool classroom 80-90% of the time Assist the owner with circle time, curriculum prep, and classroom management Step in as lead teacher when the owner is out of town Maintain classroom cleanliness and organization throughout the day Support outdoor play and ensure high-quality care at all times
Physical Requirements

This is an active role requiring standing, moving, and being on your feet for 8+ hours/day Heavy involvement in cleaning, organizing, and maintaining classroom routines
Pay & Incentives

$18-$20/hour to start, before bonuses Performance-based bonuses for attendance, leadership, classroom management, and organization
Requirements

5+ years in a licensed early childhood setting preferred Current CPR & First Aid certification Strong communication, organization, and leadership skills Must meet strict attendance expectations--reliable presence is essential for classroom safety and legal ratios. First 30 days will demonstrate ability to manage the classroom independently.
This role is fast-paced, physically demanding, and requires someone who can lead, stay on their feet all day, and keep the classroom clean and organized while prioritizing the children's safety and learning.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
