Pay Rate: $27.50 an hour
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Oversees poker operations including control of secured assets, game integrity and protection.
Able to supervise games in accordance with established policies and procedures
Provide continuous quality entertainment and service to guests
Serve as the first line of defense in the protection of the integrity of the games and table inventory
Evaluate dealer performance and communicate effectively with supervisor
Direct daily work activities and inspect completed work for conformance to standards
Circulate among gaming tables to ensure that operations are conducted properly
Promote positive team member and guest relations
Resolve and respond to guest complaints
Monitor table activity and guest play
Execute player promotions adhering to policies and procedures
Adjust table limits to meet demand and to maximize profit potential
Communicate effectively with Surveillance to resolve issues
Responsible for all money transactions on assigned games
Operate the Poker Room online system
Correct dealer errors and settle player disputes
Initiate and verify fills, credits, buys for tables and banks
Process promotional wins, jackpots and complete required IRS forms
Cash counting skills, including verifying banks, purchasing chip buys, cashing out chips
Open/close games, calling surveillance, unlocking cards, filling out inventory slips
Verifying dealer chip trays in and out
Complete dealer rotations for the assigned shift
Update all jackpots on the board, count sheet and poker website on a daily basis
When closing down the room for the night, lock all drawers, banks and rope off room
KNOWLEDGE AND CERTIFICATION, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Required Knowledge and Certification:
High School Diploma /GED or equivalent experience
Proven efficiency in math
Minimum of 8 hour in-house Poker training, which includes ability to pass written policy tests as well as in-house auditions
Minimum of 8 hours in-house Supervisor training, which includes ability to pass written policy tests
Accurate and detail-oriented
Highly organized and ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities
Strong computer skills Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Outlook) and Windows XP
Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
Excellent problem solving skills
Above average math skills
Strong conflict resolution skills
Required Abilities:
Ability to follow established dress code policies and practice good personal hygiene
Ability to interact with guests, coworkers and management in a professional and courteous manner
Ability to serve both internal and external customers
Ability to control labor costs
Ability to develop and implement standard operating procedures
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Must be able to walk and / or stand for periods of up to 8 hours
Must have a good sense of balance, and be able to bend and kneel
Must be able to reach and twist occasionally
Must be able to push, pull and grasp objects occasionally
Must have the ability to independently lift up to 10 pounds occasionally
Must be able to perform repetitive hand and wrist motions
Must have good eye hand coordination
WORKING ENVIRONMENT
Work is performed primarily on the gaming floor, which includes flashing lights, frequent loud noises and cigarette smoke
Must be able to work in cramped, tight quarters
Must be willing to work a flexible schedule including all shifts, weekends and holidays
Occasionally must deal with angry or hostile individuals
