Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Pastry Cook to join our team in creating delicious pastries and desserts. The ideal candidate will have a passion for baking and a creative flair in the kitchen.
Duties:
- Prepare and bake a variety of pastries, cakes, cookies, and desserts
- Decorate pastries using icing, glazes, and toppings
- Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as needed
- Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation standards
- Collaborate with the culinary team to develop new pastry items
Skills:
- Experience in the food industry, particularly in a restaurant or catering setting
- Proficiency in using kitchen tools such as knives and pastry packaging equipment
- Knowledge of pastry techniques and baking methods
- Strong customer service skills to interact with clients and fulfill special orders
- Culinary background with a focus on pastry arts or baking
The position is Monday to Saturday
Salary: $18 to $20 per hour plus Tips DOE
