ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:




Assisting the lead operator in a variety of duties, such as startup/shutdown of equipment, troubleshoot issues, etc..

Assist maintenance personnel with general maintenance of plant equipment.

Bagging, labeling products and transferring them to a staging area driving/using a forklift.

Responsible for cleaning and organizing plants.

Collecting quality control samples.

Completing Operator Care assessments of equipment.

Proposes measures to improve methods, performance and quality of product.

Completes LOTO of equipment for maintenance or operational issues.

Routinely work in confined spaces (Drums/Mixers) with pneumatic tools for entire shifts.

EDUCATION:




Minimum High School Degree or GED equivalent preferred.

WORK EXPERIENCE:




One to two years of production experience preferred.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES:




Must have basic knowledge in manufacturing environment.

Must be self-motivated and can work independently.

Must be able to read and interpret production schedule.

Must have basic computer skills to navigate through multiple screens and input data.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:




Communicating with internal and external customers - must be able to talk, hear, see, and comprehend.

Mobility of arms - Must be able to reach, and use arms to manipulate small objects.

Mobility inside the plant - Must be able to stand for extended periods of time, reach, bend, and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.

Must be able to move and work in tight confined spaces for extended periods of time.

. Work is routinely performed in a general warehouse environment on a concrete surface, with frequent exposure to both internal and external environment.


. Frequent exposure to severe weather conditions, both heat and cold.


. Frequent exposure to dust, and noise levels that exceed a normal threshold.


PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT:




. Must wear steel-toed boots.


. Recommended: Safety glasses, ear plugs, gloves, back brace, and safety attire as noted by guides provided in specific areas. These items will be provided by Harrell's upon request.


. Personal Protective Equipment must be worn in accordance with SDS recommendations.
