Unit Description:




The Vascular Access Services (VAS) team specializes in providing safe, efficient, and skilled placement of vascular access devices. This includes peripherally inserted central catheters (PICCs), midlines, central lines, and ultrasound-guided IVs. The team ensures patients receive reliable vascular access to support therapies such as IV medications, fluids, and nutrition. Our team focuses on the following:


Advanced practice in ultrasound-guided vascular access, ensuring precision and safety in even the most complex cases


Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams, critical care, oncology, surgical, and medical units, to deliver timely access for patients with challenging needs.


Troubleshooting line complications and serving as subject matter experts for vascular access device management and care.

The role you'll contribute:




The ANM is a registered professional nurse who supports the Nurse Manager or Director in overall operations of their assigned unit. Is able to demonstrate critical thinking skills, creativity, and has the knowledge to manage resources to achieve quality performance, positive employee relations, and compliance with hospital guidelines. The ANM is skilled in coaching, mentoring, and leading a professional and technical team in the delivery of services to our patient population. The ANM assures quality of care is delivered to our patients and demonstrates effective stewardship of scarce resources. Is supportive of change activities on their unit and works to assure implementation of change that may occur. Actively participates in outstanding customer service and accepts responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all.

Minimum qualifications

:


Associates degree or Diploma in Nursing Specific experience as delineated by the unit of employment Current valid State of Florida or multistate license as a Registered Nurse Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification Advanced Life Support Certifications (ACLS, PALS, NRP) per specialty/unit requirements EKG competency

Preferred qualifications:




Bachelors degree of Nursing (BSN) or Masters degree in Nursing (MSN) Professional Certification 2 years of leadership experience
