Job Description

The Cardiac Intervention Unit (CIU) will facilitate care to the following patient populations: patients admitted for cardiac catheterization, elective coronary interventional procedures including PTCA, stent, atherectomy, electrophysiology testing and/or ablation, elective electrical cardioversion, permanent cardiac pacemaker or AICD implantation. CIU's nurse to patient ratio is 1:5. Anticipated length of stay for these patients is less than 48 hours. The unit provides expert quality care to patients utilizing an interdisciplinary collaborative approach in an effort to return the patient to their highest level of wellness. The CIU is committed to providing healthcare that is unmatched in quality, convenience that is patient/family centered. We are seeking a strong candidate who will be supportive, communicative, and an excellent problem solver. They will need to be someone who promotes positivity. The Assistant Nurse Manager will need to actively participate in hiring and training employees; answer questions from patients or employees confidently. We are looking for someone who is an engaging leader that will perform duties to help support the management team with achieving and establishing goals.

Pre-employment Requirements:

We are a drug free facility. Passing a pre-employment drug screening is required.

Education Requirements:

ADN required; BSN preferred.

Job Requirements:

Current RN license. Must be flexible to work both day and night positions if needed. Call will rotate with Manager. Previous experience preferred. Proven leadership and communication skills. Responsibilities include staffing, problem-solving, goal setting, and adherence to hospital policies. Must be able to multitask, overseeing daily nursing operations, support staff, and ensure quality patient care.
