Job Summary


We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Retail Assistant Manager to oversee daily store operations and support sales growth. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership, management, and customer service skills, with the ability to motivate staff, manage inventory, and ensure excellent shopping experiences for customers. Duties



Assist in managing store operations, including opening and closing procedures Supervise and train sales associates to ensure high levels of customer service and product knowledge Oversee inventory management, stock replenishment, and merchandising to optimize store presentation Handle POS transactions, cash handling, and cashiering duties accurately Manage scheduling, shift management, and employee orientation for new hires Conduct interviewing and recruiting activities to build a strong team Monitor sales performance and implement strategies to meet sales targets Coordinate purchasing, pricing, and promotional activities in collaboration with marketing teams Maintain organized records of payroll, bookkeeping, and administrative tasks Ensure compliance with company policies and safety regulations Foster a positive team environment through leadership, training & development initiatives

Skills



Proven management experience in retail settings, including assistant manager roles or supervisory positions Strong leadership qualities with excellent communication and interpersonal skills Proficiency in retail math, inventory control, POS systems, and cash handling procedures Ability to negotiate effectively with vendors and customers Multilingual or bilingual abilities are a plus for serving diverse customer bases Skilled in employee orientation, training & development, and team management Knowledge of merchandising, stocking, marketing, and promotional strategies Organizational skills with attention to detail in inventory management and store presentation Experience with budgeting, payroll processing, bookkeeping, and retail math calculations Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks efficiently Customer service-oriented mindset with phone etiquette and professional communication skills

Pay: Up to $19.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 35 per week
