The Toasted Pickle, a busy artisan sandwich shop in downtown Rockford is searching for a Assistant Manager to lead our team in a fun, creative and positive environment. We are looking for a hardworking, upbeat person who possesses excellent leadership skills and an in-depth knowledge of the inner workings of a restaurant.

Job Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

? Oversee all FOH staff

? Interview, hire and set up training for new employees

? Coach and mentor employees as needed

? Write schedules

? Place food and supply orders

? Maintain positive atmosphere

? Foster a climate of cooperation and respect throughout restaurant

? Inspect all equipment and work areas for cleanliness and functionality

? Maintain a cleaning and maintenance schedule

? Meet or exceed all health code and safety standards

? Identify ways to maintain and reduce costs

? Perform employee reviews

? Assist chef with feature and soup scheduling

? Ensure staff follows all alcohol laws

Applicant Qualifications:

? Two or more years of restaurant experience

? Willingness to be a "hands on" manager

? Positive attitude

? Knowledge of alcohol sales a plus

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $24.00 - $30.00 per hour
