PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Managing staff: support with interviews, hiring process, and reviewing clinical need for positions. Conducting annual performance evaluations, consistent rounding with staff, corrective action and other HR interactions. Support of overall staffing and scheduling, time off requests, as well as assignment of patient schedules to meet staff ratios. Ability to provide clinical care services related to critical staffing needs.
Support data collection to meet psychiatry and inpatient rehabilitation QI and compliance measures as well as data related to TBI, SCI, and CVA populations across the continuum of care as it relates to rehabilitation therapy services. Present data during regulatory meetings and track overtime for trends. Identify program opportunities related to trends and measures collected.
Support multidisciplinary meetings on Psychiatry and Rehab that look at quality of service delivery as well as supporting hospital goals of improving through put, length of stay efficiency, as well as quality service delivery.
Engage with behavioral health leadership to optimize utilization of therapy services on inpatient psychiatry. Contribute to quality improvement projects and meetings on psychiatry with a focus on decreasing length of stay while optimizing outcomes. Obtain feedback from patients and families related to the therapy interventions and experience on inpatient psychiatry as well as assist with leading Patient Advisory council.
REQUIREMENTS
Current license to practice as a therapist in the State of Washington.
Master's Degree from an accredited school of speech, occupational, physical or recreational therapy.
Licensed clinician with at least 6 or more years of Inpatient rehabilitation and/or behavioral health clinical experience as a Physical Therapist, Speech Language Pathologist, Occupational Therapist, or Recreation Therapist.
Demonstrated effective interpersonal skills and clinical reasoning.
