We are seeking a proactive and organized Part-Time Assistant Manager to support daily store operations and contribute to a positive customer experience. Our cafe specializes in Argentinian & European pastries and takes pride in serving top-quality coffee made with locally roasted beans.
This role involves overseeing team activities, managing inventory, and ensuring smooth store functions. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills, and have experience in a management position. Bilingual or multilingual abilities are a plus to effectively serve diverse customer needs. Valid ID and reliable transportation is required.
Duties
Manage inventory, stock replenishment and produce ordering
Oversee POS transactions, issuing refunds, and cash handling procedures
Act as manager-on-duty during assigned shifts
Driving locally to pick up essential items if necessary
Lead and support baristas and kitchen staff in a fast-paced environment
Open and close the shop as needed
Maintain standards for customer service, cleanliness, and product quality
Handle customer concerns professionally and efficiently
Experience
Previous assistant manager or supervisory experience in a fast-paced setting is preferred
Demonstrated skills in streamlining processes, problem solving and team leadership
Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment
Experience with POS systems and cash handling procedures
Excellent communication skills; bilingual or multilingual abilities are advantageous
Barista and food handling experience is preferred but not mandatory
Ability to demonstrate leadership qualities with a focus on customer service excellence and operational efficiency
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 16 - 24 per week
