General Description



The Food and Nutrition Services (FNS)Assistant Manager will ensure that the USDA Afterschool Food Program is executed with excellence at their LCS location in the absence of the FNS Manager. The FNS Assistant Manager will be responsible for all food organization, packing, deliveries, pickup and shipments to their LCS site when the manager is not able to fill this role.

Key Responsibilities:



Preparation and delivery of food to students as determined by program and school policy and procedure during periods of absence of the FNS Manager Order pick-up and delivery of food and supplies during period of absence of the FNS Manager Ensure timely food delivery to students during period of absence of the FNS Manager Site management ensuring paperwork, inventory reporting, and other duties are completed during period of absence of the FNS Manager Build good rapport with teachers, faculty, staff and administration Abide by school security policies Recruit, lead and supervise the packing team consisting of employees,volunteers, and students during period of absence of the FNS Manager Execute the food program while following all USDA, sanitation, health and LCS policies and procedures during period of absence of the FNS Manager Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:



Strong organizational skills General knowledge of food handling, packaging, and preparation The ability to pay excellent attention to detail Excellent customer service skills Interpersonal skills to work effectively with a wide variety of people daily Good relationship building skills and the ability to communicate both orally and in writing Knowledge of accountability and leadership skills Demonstrate time management and problem solving skills to meet goals and deadlines Able to repeatedly lift up to 50lbs. on a regular basis 85% standing or walking/ 15% sitting
