We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Assistant Manager to join our team. The Assistant Manager will play a key role in maintaining efficient store functions, implementing sales strategies, and fostering a positive work environment.

Duties



Assist in overseeing daily store operations, including opening and closing procedures. Supervise and motivate team members to achieve sales goals and maintain high customer service standards. Manage inventory control, stock replenishment, and merchandising to optimize product presentation. Handle customer inquiries, resolve complaints, and ensure overall customer satisfaction. Support recruiting efforts through interviewing and onboarding new employees. Assist with employee orientation, training & development initiatives, and performance evaluations. Oversee cash handling, cashiering duties, POS transactions, and ensure accuracy in sales processing. Participate in budgeting, purchasing, pricing strategies, and inventory management. Coordinate marketing activities and promotional campaigns to increase store visibility. Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and operational procedures. Manage shift schedules, delegate tasks effectively, and monitor team productivity. Maintain organized records related to payroll, bookkeeping, and administrative functions. Foster a collaborative team environment through effective communication skills and leadership.

Qualifications



Proven experience in assistant management or supervisory roles within retail or grocery stores. Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage teams effectively. Excellent communication skills; bilingual or multilingual abilities are a plus. Proficiency in POS systems, retail math, cash handling, and inventory management software. Demonstrated expertise in sales management, merchandising, pricing strategies, and store management. Experience with employee orientation, training & development programs. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in bookkeeping and administrative tasks. Ability to handle multiple responsibilities including customer service, marketing, purchasing, and shift management. Knowledge of budgeting processes and retail math principles. Exceptional time management skills coupled with the ability to prioritize tasks efficiently. Previous assistant manager experience is preferred; supervisory experience is essential.
