We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Assistant Manager to join our team.

This is a role that we call a Kennel Coordinator and is hands-on: in the kennels and customer-facing. This is not a sit-down desk job.

The ideal candidate will have a passion for animal care, excellent leadership skills, excellent customer service and a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety in our facility.

Responsibilities:

Assist the Kennel Manager in the daily operations of the kennel, including managing staff and ensuring high-quality care for all animals. Supervise and train kennel staff, ensuring adherence to company policies and procedures. Monitor the health and behavior of all animals, administering medications and providing first aid as needed. Maintain a clean and sanitary environment by overseeing the cleaning and disinfecting of kennels, play areas, and common spaces. Coordinate feeding, exercise, and enrichment activities for the animals in our care. Manage inventory and order supplies as needed. Communicate effectively with pet owners, addressing any concerns or special requests. Ensure compliance with all local and state regulations regarding animal care and facility operations. Assist with administrative tasks such as scheduling, record-keeping, and reporting.

Qualifications:

Previous experience in a kennel, veterinary clinic, or similar animal care environment. Strong leadership and supervisory skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills. Knowledge of animal behavior, health, and wellness. Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.

Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and evenings as needed.

Excellent communication on digital platforms with all stakeholders.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.50 - $22.50 per hour
