Summary:
An Assistant Manager helps oversee the daily operations of the restaurant, supporting the General Manager to ensure efficiency, profitability and an excellent guest experience. The role requires strong leadership, customer service and problem solving skills in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
Open and close the restaurant and ensure checklists are completed for the front and back of the house.
Countdown and balance the cash registers, put together the daily bank deposit and drop off the deposit at the bank.
Ensure compliance by oversee and enforce all health, safety and sanitation regulations.
Act as a communication bridge between the kitchen and front-of-house staff.
Assist with recruiting, onboarding, and training new team members.
Oversee the team, delegate tasks and manage staff conflicts.
Foster teamwork and high employee morale.
Handle customer complaints and inquiries with professionalism.

Qualifications:
A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
Previous experience in the restaurant or food service industry, with at least 1-3 years in a supervisory or management role is highly preferred.
