Job Description

Fresa's 9th & Lamar is seeking an experienced kitchen leader to oversee both culinary operations and daily restaurant management. This dual role combines hands-on cooking with team leadership in our high-volume, fast-paced environment.

Fresa's, an Austin original, offers a modern take on classic Mexican chicken al carb n with wood-grilled meals, homemade tortillas, authentic salsas, and traditional sides. Our premium quick-service concept handles both in-house service and full-service catering.

Qualifications

1+ years kitchen or front of house leadership Experience in guest facing roles Experience in high-volume restaurant operations Strong cooking technique and production management skills Food Manager's Certificate and TABC certification Basic tech proficiency (Excel, Word, email; Toast POS a plus) Experience with purchasing, labor control, and catering preferred Bilingual English/Spanish a plus

Key Responsibilities

Oversee daily kitchen operations including food prep, ordering, and quality control Assign prep and cleaning duties; ensure highest food standards are met Train, mentor, and lead both front-of-house and back-of-house staff Assist General Manager with daily restaurant operations and guest interactions Maintain harmonious work environment across all teams Support same-day catering program

Benefits & Compensation

$50-$55K annual salary 10 days PTO 50% of Health Insurance Premiums paid by employer
