The Patch, currently under construction in Augusta, GA, is managed by Bobby Jones Links. This joint initiative was created to strengthen public golf in the community while expanding opportunities to play the game and pursue careers in the sport. The Patch is now hiring Assistant Golf Professionals.
Primary responsibilities include:
Has the ability to complete an accurate inventory count each month and has a firm understanding of cost of goods sold.
Assists the Head Golf Professional in planning, promoting, and directing all golf activities.
Develops merchandise sales and promotions during holidays, specials events, and times when sales are slow.
Provides golf lessons to all members and guests, overseeing the instruction program at the club.
Develops and conducts junior golf clinics.
Orders supplies for the golf shop as directed by the Head Golf Professional.
Plays golf with members to ensure enthusiasm for the game.
Understands how to use the point of sales system.
Assists the Head Golf Professional with all tournament operations.
Maintains all logs (comp, rain check, monthly range, etc.).
