Position Summary:

The Assistant Girls Basketball Coach will support the Head Coach in developing and leading the Madison Middle School girls basketball program. This role involves assisting with practices, games, player development, and fostering a positive and safe environment that emphasizes teamwork, sportsmanship, and skill development.

Key Responsibilities:

+ Assist the Head Coach in planning and conducting practices, drills, and skill development sessions.
+ Support players in improving basketball skills, fitness, and game understanding.
+ Attend games, providing in-game guidance and support to players.
+ Foster a positive, respectful, and inclusive team culture.
+ Monitor student-athletes' behavior and ensure compliance with school and athletic policies.
+ Assist in organizing team schedules, transportation, equipment, and uniforms.
+ Communicate effectively with parents, players, and school staff as needed.
+ Promote academic success and encourage good sportsmanship on and off the court.

Qualifications:

+ WVDE Coaching Certification and recommendation by Madison MIddle School Administrative Staff
