The Opportunity

Delaware North Sportservice is seeking an Assistant General Manager at the iconic TD Garden in Boston, Massachusetts. Minimum - Anticipated Maximum Salary: $105500 - $142400 / year

Responsibilities
  • Assist General Manager in setting short- and long-term departmental goals and objectives that cover a range of areas, including people development, company policies and operating budgets. In this role you will report directly to the General Manager.
  • In partnership with department heads, manage and oversee the operations of our exclusive clubs, restaurants, bars, retail, commissary, and concessions operations.
  • Drive internal capital projects and technology upgrades to improve efficiency and customer experience.
  • Implement process improvements to streamline operations and increase profitability.
  • Drive financial performance, analyze data, and develop strategies to increase revenue and reduce costs.
  • Manage labor relations, may oversee contract management, including negotiating contracts and ensuring compliance with contractual obligations.
  • Verify, prepare, and submit reports and monthly projections as required as well as ensure effective systems for point-of-sale transactions, inventory, and payroll procedures are in place.
  • Hire, train, evaluate staff, and ensure compliance with labor laws and regulations, develop the team and ensure all team members at the unit are supported and managed effectively in order to provide an optimal guest experience.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company standards.
  • Adhere to and enforce sanitation and health and safety procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, local, and company regulations regarding sale of alcohol, OSHA, payroll, employment, and EEO guidelines.
  • Maintain positive client and vendor relations through effective communication.
  • Become the designated leader when the General Manager is not at the unit.
  • Build strong relationships with internal and external clients to ensure customer satisfaction and loyalty.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of 3 -5 years of leadership experience in a hospitality management role, preferably in an arena environment.
  • Bachelor\'s Degree in Business Management or equivalent preferred.
  • Experience managing multiple departments and overseeing large-scale operations.
  • Strong financial management skills, including budgeting, forecasting, and analysis experience required.
  • Strong managerial skills required; demonstrated initiative, leadership and interpersonal skills are essential.
  • Strong commitment to customer and client service required with a proven track record of building strong relationships with internal and external clients.
  • Strong working knowledge of labor laws and regulations and experience managing labor relations.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
