Assistant General Manager (AGM)

to join our leadership team and support our commitment to excellence.

Position Overview

The Assistant General Manager plays a key role in daily operations, staff development, guest satisfaction, and maintaining our brand standards. This position supports the General Manager and acts as a leader, problem-solver, and coach on the floor. We're looking for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, leads by example, and is motivated by creating a positive culture for both guests and staff.

Responsibilities

Support the General Manager with daily operations of the restaurant Uphold and enforce service standards, policies, and company procedures Lead, train, support, and motivate front-of-house staff Assist in scheduling, onboarding, and performance management Oversee opening and closing procedures Ensure exceptional guest experiences and resolve guest concerns professionally Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient work environment Monitor inventory, ordering, and cost-control initiatives Assist with event planning and execution Step in as acting manager when GM is not present Contribute to a positive workplace culture rooted in teamwork and accountability

Qualifications

2+ years of restaurant leadership or supervisory experience Strong communication and people-management skills Ability to lead calmly and effectively during high-volume service Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail Open availability, including evenings and weekends Ability to stand/walk for long periods and lift 25-50 lbs A genuine passion for hospitality and service excellence

Skills

Proven experience in restaurant management with a strong background in food service operations. Extensive knowledge of food preparation techniques, cooking methods, and food safety practices. Proficiency with POS systems including Aloha POS and Micros POS; strong cash handling skills. Demonstrated supervisory experience with the ability to train and develop staff effectively. Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate teams in fast-paced environments such as casual dining or quick service restaurants. Strong organizational skills with expertise in inventory control, budgeting, and cost management. Exceptional customer service skills with a focus on creating memorable guest experiences. Knowledge of food industry standards related to hygiene, sanitation, and safety regulations. Experience managing shifts efficiently while maintaining high-quality service standards. Background in culinary arts or kitchen management is highly desirable. Ability to interview candidates thoughtfully and contribute to team-building efforts.
